Vagrant Starscape now has a complete lineup consisting of myself on vocals, bass, guitar, and keyboards, and then Chase on drums, and Alex on guitar / fx. Submit your story to be included in upcoming Benighted in Sodom album
This year, I will release an album titled "Fort Lauderdale" that I wrote very specifically about this dismal part of the universe, about my childhood here, and about my relationship with it. Each song is a vague narrative that relives another dreadful memory or experience that haunts me, that continues to torment me, and ultimately led to the inspiration for the music later in life when I became a man.
Because of the personal nature of the music, I decided not to publish the lyrics but I came up with an idea to involve the beloved supporters and fans I have around the world that will relate to this music in their own way.
Many people can relate to being stranded in a terrible place, feeling alone and desperate to find an escape, yet still watching as others around them, even the ones they love, succumb to the travesty and false existence which surrounds them. Many people can relate to this existence in a living nightmare each day, being filled with hate and contempt for the world around them which glorifies the emptiness, the vices, the herd mentality, the defeatism... the hopelessness...
This is a request for personal letters about what would be your "Fort Lauderdale"; your personal memoir of a terrible memory about the place which surrounds you. Give me a story about someone that has become a tragic casualty of your environment, give me a story about something that has happened to you there which traumatized you, which scarred you, hurt you, damaged your life irreconcilably. The chosen letters will be scanned and included in the booklet of the album when it is released, names and places of persons will be kept anonymous, so feel free to write what you wish, no matter how horrible or sick or depraved it may be, but it must be a true, genuine horror story. As I said, your identity will be anonymous, so you may confide in me what you will without fear of judgment or any consequence that you may fear. The letters must be handwritten in your native language (they will be translated only for proofreading, but they will be published exactly as they are, albeit censored names + places) and mailed to me, and then they will be scanned and they will have their own page in the booklet of the album. 20 letters will be chosen, and the author of each one will receive a free copy of the finished letter and a personal response handwritten from me. If you wish to write a salutation or any type of greeting to Benighted in Sodom, please include it on a separate paper. Since you will each have your own page on the booklet, I encourage you to write legibly and use whatever mediums you wish (crayon, pencil, pen, etc.) to make it personal to you and unique, just please limit your submission to no longer than a full side of the page and at least a couple of paragraphs, to ensure that your story will be represented clear and complete on your page.
I appreciate all of my devotees and every submission will be locked away and viewed only by me. Again, if you live outside of the USA, you may write in your native language and to proofread the story, I have translators that will assist me, but I encourage you to express yourself in a way that will honor the emotional quality of your story.

Please also keep this in mind when you write: The album will be released in a DVD booklet and your page would be the size of a DVD booklet page in the final pressing. Some advice.
Don't worship anything. I don't mean, "don't be a Christian", or "don't worship the Devil", I mean don't worship human beings.
Don't buy into the pretensions of superstars and wannabe rockstars.
Don't be a follower.
Where are the Official Fan Pages for all the scientists and firemen, people keeping us safe long enough to spread our worthless messages of hatred and intolerance?
Your black metal faith is strong enough to deify yourself in magazines and on the internet, but what will you do when your cat is stuck in a tree and you get Hepatitis?
Losers that worship bands and get band logos tattooed on themselves, I personally hope all the above happens to you.
